Our politician seem reluctan tot learn from the past mistake. They remain in the state denial, notwithstanding defeat after defeat in the by-elections. Some are still showing arrogance, the typical predominant and rampant character shown before the last general election. Blatant use public property without sense of guilty to show their mighty power are still the order of the day. Last week it was, otherwise my pleasant journey to works has been jolted by an airtime slotted to a supposedly a Minister in the prime ministers' department, but instead chosed to speak as if he is just UMNO Chief Information.
Instead of speaking, by living up to theexpectation of PM's new buzzword... 1Malaysia, this young Maggimee Politician spoke how puzzle he is to realize that Kampong folks could not differenciate the value between a gift of hamper by an opposition worker to that of a road built with budget more than RM10 million by the government !!!. The Kampong folks are still giving their favourable support to apposition, instead of BN. He lamented this phenomena with vahement regret and groaning!!!
To this Maggiemee Minister, I have one word to say and advise , please don't underrate the kampong folk's ability to read and differeciate between what is good and bad gift to them .! They don't to become QS or Project Cost Consultant. They are unfazed by the mamoth project being given or dangled in front of them, for they know whos money it is, how it was awarded , who benefitted alot out of it. Don't belittle their capability and wisdom. They can think better than you. They can differenciate a project with PWD pre-tender estimated and with the inflated one.
Further, I would like to advice this YB, please do something to close the present state of political divide. Learn from the past mistake and do something to get rid of the negative perception painted on UMNO leadership. Make some goodwill gesture to the new PM...If there is any change to UMNO, it has to begin from people like this YB....otherwise do not cry over the spillmilk any more !!!
